Poster board

Stickers, markers, paint, glue, and glitter

Laminate or clear contact paper

Instructions

1. Put candy, sprinkles, cake decorations, licorice, and fruit snacks into separate bowls on one table. Put spoons into each bowl.2. Put icing into cups and place three or four cups at each table. Put two knives next to each cup.3. Ask the children to sit at the tables. This is a good time to go over safety rules about knives. In addition, set some ground rules. For example, ask the children to take only a few of each item they can always come back for more after everyone else is done.4. Give each child a Styrofoam plate. Help the children write their names on the bottom of their plates.5. Give each child a cupcake and an ice cream cone. Explain that they are going to decorate their plates, cones, and cupcakes with the goodies.6. Ask three or four children to select the candy and fruit snacks that they want. Give the children cups to put their goodies in as they come up to the table.7. Encourage the children to make castles with their goodies.8.
