Instructions

1. When you have a few extra moments, sing "The Wheels on the Bus." Add new
ideas and verses to the original song by asking the children, "What's your
idea?" Some of their ideas might include:
* "The seats on the bus go squeak, squeak, squeak..."
* "The hubcaps on the bus go clatter, clatter, clatter..."
* "The mirror on the bus goes wiggle, wiggle, wiggle..."
* "The windows on the bus go rattle, rattle, rattle..."
* "The floor mats on the bus go squish, squish, squish..."
2. Pass out instruments and encourage the children to play them in turn (or all
together). Examples include "The bells on the bus go jingle, jingle, jingle...,"
"The rhythm sticks on the bus go tap, tap, tap...," and "The sand blocks on
the bus go brusha, brusha, brusha..."
More to do Consider changing the song to "The Animals on the Farm," "The Children at the
Park," "The Cars on the Road," or "The Noises in the House."
