Construction paper Scissors

Clear contact paper or laminate, optional Container

Instructions

1. Cut basic shapes out of construction paper; laminate if possible.

2. Place shapes in a container.

3. Taking turns, have the children pull out a shape and look around the room for somethingthat is the same shape. For example, they might say a block is a rectangle or the burners onthe play stove are circles.More to doGame: Encourage the children to continue the game during free play or snack time. If they spota particular shape, have them show a teacher. Keep a sticker chart with children's names showinghow many of each shape they've found.
