1. Have the children work in pairs for this activity. Put each type of seed on a
tray (make one tray of seeds for each pair).
2. Give the children the pictures of the plants and seeds of that plant and ask if
they can choose the correct seed for each picture. This is a difficult activity so
make sure the picture of the seeds look like the seeds on the trays.
3. The children will probably find it easier to match some of the seeds, such as
watermelon, sunflower, and apple, because they may have seen the seeds
before.
4. Tape one of the matching seeds to the back of each plant picture so the
children can check their match.
5. When finished with this activity, plant some of the seeds and watch them
grow.
