Instructions

1. For a hands-on sorting activity, use your classroom wall to display clear,
plastic pockets to hold items to be sorted.
2. Make pockets out of laminating scraps left over from past projects. Cut them
to the desired size to fold in half for a pocket.
3. Use transparent tape to tape the sides of the pockets.
4. Add sorting activities to each pocket.
5. Attach the pockets to the wall using Sticky-Tac.
6. This eye-catching idea draws children from across the room to the activity.
Invite each child, in turn, to do the activity.
7. Children really enjoy this variation of a floor or table activity. Their
classification skills and visual discrimination skills are sure to take root and
