Materials

silverware tray

variety of science tools (such as magnifying glass, binoculars, plastic

kaleidoscope, eyedroppers, and tweezers)

Instructions

1. Place beads, paper cups, and pieces of string on a tray or in a bin.
2. Help the children punch a hole down near the bottom of their cup.
3. Help them thread string through the hole and tie a knot to the inside of the
cup. Cover the knot and hole with tape.
4. Tie a bead to the other end of the string.
5. Let the children play with their new toy.
