Materials

CD or cassette tape

computer, CD player, or tape recorder

tapes and/or CDs with the songs you use daily

Instructions

1. Help the children cut pieces of cardboard approximately 6" x 12". Each child
will need two pieces.
2. Have the children step on their pieces of cardboard. Mark the cardboard on
each side of a child's foot across the arches.
3. Adult pokes a circular hole through each mark with a scissors. String the
shoelace through the holes.
4. Have the children step on each piece of cardboard. Help the children tie a
bow across the arches of their feet.
5. Now the children can shuffle around in the shoes. They can shuffle right on
to their next activity.
More to do Outdoors: You can even have shuffle-shoe races. Divide the children into
teams. "On your mark, get set, go!"
