Rhythm Sticks


1 rhythm stick per child (purchased or made from dowels)


1. Cut sponges into a variety of shapes.
2. Show the children the sponges and talk about the different shapes.
3. Ask the children to put the sponges into the water.
4. Show the children how to squeeze the water out of the sponges. This is
great for developing upper arm strength.
5. Pour colored water into the tub to add interest.
