Instructions

1. This game can be played at any transition time or during snack time. It
improves children's memory, can be used to teach important information,
and helps children with categorization skills.
2. Say, "I'm thinking of someone who's wearing red!" The children look around
and announce who fits into this category. Then switch to a different color.
3. Use other categories, for example, items of clothing ("I'm thinking of
someone wearing a sweater") or fabrics ("I'm thinking of someone wearing
corduroy"). These categories are great to use when teaching about seasons
and how the clothing we wear changes appropriately.
4. If desired, make a list of who fits into what category as you play the game.
Post the list in your classroom and review it with the children during a
subsequent transition time or snack time.
