1. Here is a list of some great things to put in the sand or water table that are cheap or free!* Recycled materials: film canisters, scoops from detergent or dry formula, lids from liquid detergent bottles, plastic cups from fast food restaurants* Inexpensive items: colored plastic rocks or objects for aquariums, about the size of a quarter (not gravel), smooth rocks (usually used in floral arrangements)* plastic Happy Meal toys, Mardi Gras necklaces, rubber fishing lures, marbles, Ping-Pong balls2. Check your local dollar store for many of these items, as well as your own ideas.
