Materials

leftover pieces of bulletin board borders

plastic gemstones (from a craft store)

glue

glitter

Instructions

1. Measure and cut the bulletin board borders to fit around each child's
head.
2. Help the children use glue to write their names on their crowns.
Encourage them to sprinkle glitter on top of the glue and add
gemstones.
3. When dry, staple the crowns to fit on the children's heads.
More to do Have "un-birthday" celebrations for the summer birthday children. Assign
days during the last month of school when they can celebrate birthdays as
the other children do.
