Instructions

1. Attach a large piece of paper to the easel.
2. Make a line, shape, or simple design on the paper.
3. Ask each child, in turn, to add to the drawing. It will be interesting to see
what kind of picture emerges from the collaborative effort.
4. If you want to focus on a theme, start with that idea in mind. You might want
to title the project before you begin drawing ("Flowers in My Garden," "Toys
in My Room," or "Fun at the Beach").
5. Use this activity during waiting times.
Note: Large rolls of blueprint paper are great to have on hand for the easel.
Seek out a source for this paper, which is often discarded when building
projects are complete. It can easily be cut to size.
