raisins

small paper cups

plain crackers

peanut butter

plastic knives

toothpicks

number cards, if required

Instructions

Put raisins into small paper cups.
What to Do
1. Give each child a cracker.
2. Ask the children to spread peanut butter
onto their cracker.
Safety Note: Before serving any
food, especially peanut butter,
check for allergies.
3. Draw numbers in the peanut butter
with a toothpick for younger
children. Ask the children to put
raisins along the line to make the
number.
4. Older children can make raisin
numbers by copying from number cards
or making them from memory.
5. Ask the children to identify the numbers
when they are served at snack time.

* Ask the children to line up the crackers in numerical order before they eat
their snack.
