Instructions
1. Gather several thematic items that are conducive for outside use. For example, for a firefighter theme, use cut-up hoses, fire helmets, raincoats, boots, pails, and so on.2. Store the items in a watertight plastic container.3. The items in the box are exclusively for outdoor use. If duplicate items are not available, then assign two children to be the outside helpers. They will be responsible for collecting the items and placing them in the box before outside time begins, carrying it outside, and returning it indoors.4. Even though the children may use the same items indoors, using them outdoors allows for an entirely different aspect of play and also gives the children more space in which to play.5. If desired, keep this box outdoors for easier use and fewer transition challenges.
