1. Make a list of questions to ask the children in one-on-one sessions.
Examples of questions include:
* What would you do if you were the president?
* If you could drive, where would you go?
* What are your favorite things to do?
* What are your favorite books?
* What are your three most special items?
* What do you want to be when you grow up?
2. Sit in a quiet place with each child and ask her the questions.
3. Write or type each child's questions and answers on a separate piece
of paper. Make copies and compile the pages into booklets, one for
each child.
4. This makes for an amusing, interesting, and enlightening gift.
5. You can list each child's answers on one page, or list all of the answers to
the same question on one page, and enjoy the variations.
6. Ask the parents to guess which list belongs to their child.
