Materials

Instructions

1. Familiarize children with several stories and rhymes that include numbers.

2. Cut out oval shapes from paper.

3. Encourage the children to paint or color pictures on the oval paper shapes. For example, if you are doing "The Three Pigs," they might draw three pigs (on three ovals), a wolf, and three houses (on three different ovals).

4. Glue the ovals to a piece of cardboard.

5. Tape a craft stick to the figure.

6. Encourage the children to act out the stories using the puppets.
