Instructions
1. Tell the children that they are going to play the Yes or No Game. This is a
great game to play when children need to wait.
2. Start asking questions, but make sure the questions can only be
answered with a yes or a no. In the beginning, try to use questions that
have very obvious answers.
3. Some examples are:
* Is the sky green?
* Do you have two eyes?
* Is snow hot?
* Do you wear a coat when you take a bath?
* Do dogs have tails?
* Do your knees bend?
* Does a bear say, "meow"?
* Do you wear mittens on your feet?
4. Another way to use this activity is to ask each child a question. When
she answers, it is her turn to get snack, wash her hands, and so on.
More to do Have the children come up with the questions. Once the children can
easily play the Yes or No Game, introduce a third choice such as
sometimes or maybe.
