1. Label the top of each poster with the name of the season. For summer, paintthe word "summer" with glue and sprinkle over it with sand. For fall, writethe word by gluing brown, red, and orange pipe cleaners to it. Write theword "winter" using glue and cotton balls, and write "spring" using glue andglitter in pastel colors.2. Discuss the different seasons with the children. Talk about the differentweather, clothes, activities, and holidays in each season.3. Give the children a variety of seasonal items, such as stickers, confetti, partygoods, and magazine pictures.4. Encourage them to glue each item onto the correct poster. This works wellwith small groups. Divide the children into four groups and ask each group towork on one season.5. Look at the posters during Circle Time and encourage the children to talkabout each one.6. Hang the posters all year for a wonderful display and refer back to the postersas the seasons change during the year.
