Materials
Piece of foam, about 1" (2 cm) thick
Golf tees or short large-headed nails
Small hammers or mallets
Instructions
1. Hide small objects in the sand.
2. Ask the children to take turns digging in the sand.
3. Ask them if they can find a circle, and encourage them to hunt for it. Tell the children to feel around in the sand, and pull out the item that feels like a circle. (You can also use plastic numbers or ABC's.)4.
