Materials

clay (earth clay works well, purchase at craft shops, art supply, or school supply

stores) or any recipe for basic art dough

turntable (such as a plastic one used on shelves)

craft sticks or tongue depressors

sculpting tools

play oven

cooking sheet

paint

paintbrushes

Instructions

1. Make princess hats by rolling purple
or yellow construction paper
into cone shapes and gluing
or stapling together. Add
crepe paper strips to the
tip.
2. Make prince crowns by
cutting construction paper
into a crown shape as shown.
Cover with aluminum foil.
3. Make fire-breathing dragons with the children. Cut out dragons from white
paper using the pattern below. Encourage the children to use fingerpaint to
paint their dragons green. When dry, children glue their dragons to white
paper. Show them how to draw fire coming from the dragon's mouth, and
provide red glitter for them to add to it.
