Instructions

1. Read Alligator Arrived With Apples: A Potluck Alphabet Feast by Crescent
Dragonwagon (or other book about potlucks) to the children.
2. Tell the children they are going to have their own alphabet potluck meal!
3. Send home a letter to parents asking them to send in a food that starts
with the first letter of their child's first or last name. For example, "Annie"
could bring in apples, the Spitz family could bring spaghetti, and so on.
4. On the day of the potluck, take pictures of the children and their families
as they arrive with their foods. Later, help the children organize these
photos into an alphabet book.
