Instructions

1. Make up a story about a potato. For example:
This is my potato person named Farley. Farley fell off of his bike. Do you see the
scratch on him? He also has a few bumps on his skin that I think will go away.
Farley is a very kind person and is friends with everyone.
2. Now, invite have each child to name and tell a short story about her own
potato. After everyone has told a story, collect all the potatoes and put
them in the basket.
3. Ask the children if they think they can find their very own potato
person again.
4. Put all the potatoes on a table and encourage the children to locate their
potatoes.
5. Discuss with the children how potatoes are like people even though
people are all human beings, each person is unique with his or her
own story!
