Paola

9" x 12" white construction paper

red construction paper strips

green construction paper

scissors

finely chopped yellow pipe cleaners

craft glue

green and red markers

Instructions

* Christmas Day is December 25th.
1. Read The Legend of the Poinsettia to the children.
2. Fold the white paper in half to form a card.
3. Draw a 1 1/2 " circle in the center of the front of each card.
4. Cut red construction paper into 3" x 9" strips and green construction
paper into 3" x 3" strips. Mark each strip with 1 1/2 " wide triangles for the
children to cut apart.
5. Give the children the red and green strips and show them how to cut
them into triangles.
