Instructions

1. Tell the children they will be making pretend microphones out of a sock.
2. Give each child a sock. Encourage them to glue decorations to their socks.
3. When the socks have dried, the children take turns putting them on their
hands.
4. Discuss what an interview is. Have the children take turns being an
interviewer and being interviewed.
5. The children ask each other interview questions. Sample interview questions
include:
* If you could be any animal, what would you most like to be? Why?
* If you could change any rule, what rule would you change?
* If you could have one new thing, what would it be?
* What would you most like to be when you grow up?
* What is your favorite sport?
* What activity do you most like to do with your family?
* What are you really good at?
6. Conduct interviews with children any time during the day to ease transitions,
fill a few extra moments, help children wait patiently, or give a child extra
attention.
