colored felt pieces: cream, brown, red, pink, yellow, green, and black
scissors
large index cards
markers in colors to match the felt
laminator
Instructions
1. Use a deck of cards, or make a set of pair cards. If making cards, cut out pairs
of matching pictures related to your current theme, such as colors, numbers,
shapes, and so on. Glue the pictures to index cards. If using a deck of cards,
choose enough pairs so that there is one for each child in the group and one
for you. Put the remaining cards aside.
2. Give yourself and each child one card from a pair and spread the matching
cards face down in the middle of the group where everyone can see them.
3. Let the children take turns turning over a card to try to find the matching
card to the one he is holding.
4. Keep going around the group until every child has found his match.
