Materials

Story of "The Three Little Pigs" (any traditional version)

A large area in which a small group of children can gather, preferably the upper

level of a play structure. (If you don't have a play structure with levels, mark off

a large area with cones, blocks, or anything handy.)

Instructions

1. During circle time, ask the children to come up, one at a time, and say something
into the tape recorder.
2. When everyone has had a turn, play the recording for the children and
encourage them to guess who is talking.

Encourage the children to tell a story and tape record it. Encourage the children
to sing their favorite songs together as they tape it. Tape record different everyday
sounds and ask the children to identify the sounds.
