Instructions
1. Cut each piece of 9" x 12" paper into four sections (each section will be a
page). Make booklets by stapling together one of each color of construction
paper so that all the pages are a different color. Make one for each child.
2. For very young children, pre-cut pictures of flowers, vegetables, fruits, and
trees in all of the different colors. For older children, provide magazines, seed
catalogs, and scissors for them to cut out their own pictures.
3. Help young children look through the precut pictures and match the items'
colors to a page in their booklets. Let them glue the pictures to the matching
color pages.
4. Older children can look through the magazines for pictures of items that
match the colors of the pages. They can cut out the pictures and glue them
to the pages of the booklets. Ask them to label their pages with the first
letter of the picture or color words.
