Instructions

1. This is a great end-ofthe-
day transition
activity, when you
have five more
minutes or the
parents or buses are
delayed.
2. Put a picture in the
pocket on each side of
the stuffed "Crazy
Cube." The pictures
can be children doing
an activity, such as
skipping, hopping like a frog, or dancing, or children making a sound, such as
yodeling, whistling, crying like a baby, or meowing like a cat.
3. One child rolls the crazy cube, and the rest "read" the picture and act it out.
Author's Note: The commercially made cubes have one side that says "Crazy
Cube" on it. When this side is rolled, we either shake all over or make silly
noises, and say, "Crazy Cube!" This is a great activity for pre-readers. With
older children, use words instead of pictures. My class begs for this activity!
