Materials
Stiff paper (cut from a cereal box)
Markers
Scissors
Hole punch
Sparkles, pompoms, and glue, optional
Round Popsicle sticks or drinking straws
Instructions
1. Purchase a "Hansel and Gretel" sticker book that has a gingerbread house
ready to decorate or make a house using felt.
2. Glue felt to the backs of the pictures of candy and to the gingerbread house
(unless it is already made of felt).
3. Place the felt gingerbread house and felt-backed candy pieces in the Book
Center. Encourage the children to construct their own gingerbread house on
the flannel board.
