Instructions

1. When preparing to go somewhere, first call a boy to stand in line, then a girl,
then a boy, and then a girl.
2. As you do this, ask the children if they see a pattern emerging.
3. Encourage the children to tell you who should line up next: a boy or a girl.
4. Vary the activity by having the children line up according to what they are
wearing (pants, dresses, shorts or pockets, no pockets).
5. The children love to do this and often ask to do this over and over again.
