Materials

Seasonal paper plates

Scissors

Craft sticks

Glue (contact cement)

Instructions

1. Read Mary Wore Her Red Dress and Henry Wore His Green Sneakers to the
children.
2. Take a picture of each child. After you get the photos developed, give each
child his own photo.
3. Give each child a sheet of white paper. Help them glue their photos onto the
paper.
4. Ask the children to choose something they are wearing in their photos to sing
about. Print "(child's name) is wearing (color word item of clothing) all day
long" underneath his photo.
5. Punch holes into each page and bind them together with string or ribbon.
Write "Our Class is Wearing..." on the cover.
6. Sing the song as the group reads the pages during circle and story times.
