Instructions
1. Use this class version of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill
Martin, Jr. as a way to fill extra time.
2. At my school, each class is named after an animal. If your class is "The Seals,"
for example, title the class book Green Seal, Green Seal, Who Do You See?
3. On the first page, glue a picture of the teachers. For example, "Green seal,
green seal, who do you see? I see Mrs. Wanda looking at me." The teacher's
picture is under the words. The next page will have a child's picture and
state, for example, "Mrs. Wanda, Mrs. Wanda, who do you see? I see Lynn
looking at me." Lynn's picture would be under the words. The very last page
will have the last child's name from the previous page, for example, "Austin,
Austin, who do you see? I see my Seal Class looking at me!" with a class
picture to end the book.
4. Start the year by reading this book to the children, but it may became so
popular, that you might want to create a new job: during transition times,
one child a day is allowed to read the book to the class.
Author's Note: The children will memorize this book and read it along with
the reader. I ended up laminating this book several times during the year,
because it got so much use. But the children never got tired of it!
