Instructions

1. Using rope or string, hang a king-size sheet to make a stage curtain in an
appropriate spot in the classroom. Place chairs in front of the curtain for the
audience to sit.
2. With the children, assign roles. Who will be performers, who will sell tickets,
and who will sell popcorn and drinks?
3. If there are children who wish to sing their favorite songs, use records or tapes
as an accompaniment.
4. Allow plenty of rehearsal time. If desired, children can wear costumes.
5. The Talent Show may consist of children singing songs, telling simple jokes and
riddles, doing fingerplays, acting out a fairy tale, or playing a musical instrument.
Use tinker toys to make pretend microphones.
