construction paper

glue stick

tagboard

binding machine or yarn and hole punch

Instructions

* May is National Egg Month.
1. Draw an egg shape on a piece of paper. Make a copy for each child.
2. Encourage the children to decorate their egg shapes with crayons and
cut out.
3. Give each child a piece of construction paper on which to glue her egg
shape.
4. Have each child dictate a couple of sentences about eggs. Write their
words underneath their egg shapes.
5. Make a front and back cover using tagboard. Write the title "Our Egg
Book" on the front cover.
6. If desired, laminate the covers for durability, and cut out.
7. Bind the children's egg pages between the covers using a binding
machine or a hole punch and yarn.
