Instructions
1. Introduce this activity by showing the children a teddy bear.
2. Discuss or review how bears move or might dance.
3. Teach or review the following traditional jump rope verse:
Teddy bear, teddy bear, turn around, "round, "round,
Teddy bear, teddy bear, touch the ground, ground, ground,
Teddy bear, teddy bear, show your shoe, shoe, shoe,
Teddy bear, teddy bear, skidoo, skidoo, kidoo.
4. Invite the children to do the motions. (Skidoo action can be running in place.)

Books: Read a bear story.
Social Development: Have a Teddy Bear Tea Party or picnic with the children's
stuffed animals. Invite family members.
Transitions: Add new verses to transition to new activities. For example, "Teddy
bear, teddy bear, go to snack, ... your cubby," and so on.
