Materials

Tagboard

scissors

stickers or pictures of Mother Goose rhyme characters

container, such as a margarine container

Instructions

1. Cut tagboard into 2" squares.
2. Affix one sticke to each square to depict different nursery rhymes.
3. Put the cards inside a container and label the lid with the game title.
4. To play, a child draws one card from the container, then announces what
rhyme is represented on that card.
5. The class recites or sings the rhyme together.
6. The child places the card face down near the container.
7. Continue asking another child to play in the same manner until every child
who wishes to play has had an opportunity.
