Materials

index cards

markers

refrigerator biscuits

margarine

brush

bowl of cinnamon-sugar

assortment of toppings (chocolate chips, cereal, raisins)

baking sheet

Instructions

1. Write the numerals 0 to 9 on separate index cards. Give a number card to each
child in the class (it's okay to use the same number two or three times).
2. Have the children wash their hands.
3. Give each child a refrigerator biscuit. Ask them to roll their biscuits into
"snakes" and then shape them into the numeral on their number cards.
4. The children brush the biscuit with margarine and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on
top.
5. Invite the children to put a matching number of toppings on their biscuit (for
example, the numeral 7 biscuit would have seven raisins).
6. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake according to the directions on
