Instructions

1. Write the numbers 1-5 (or 1-10) on each lid and on the inside bottom of the
tub. For example, write 1 on one tub and lid, 2 on the second, and so on.
2. Cut out a small hole in the lid corresponding to the number on the lid. For
example, one hole on 1, two holes on 2, and so on. Make the holes big
enough to hold a peg or craft stick.
3. Encourage the children to count items and put them into the appropriate tub.
You can change whatever items the children count as often as desired.
4. As the children get to be better counters, remove the lids and just use the
tubs.
