Instructions

1. Write numerals on index cards, beginning with the numeral 1. Continue writing numerals (2, 3, 4, 5, and so on) until there is one for each child.

2. Ask the children to line up.

3. Give each child a card to hold.

4. Play music and invite the children to move around the room.

5. When the music stops, the children get back into the line in sequential order according to the numeral they have on their index card.More to do Music and Movement: End the activity by playing freeze dance. The children dance until they hear the number 10, then they all freeze.
