wooden or plastic numerals (0 to 9)

cloth

Instructions

1. Put all 10 numerals on the tray and show the tray to the children.
2. Cover the tray with the cloth and secretly remove one of the numerals.
3. Show the tray to the children again and have them figure out which numeral
is missing.
4. If they are guessing randomly, ask them to count out loud and check if each
numeral is on the tray.
