Instructions

1. Any time you have a few extra moments, try the following game.
2. Seat the children in a circle on the floor. Select one child to be a dinosaur
who marches around the outside of the circle.
3. Pass out dinosaur counters to the seated children. Ask the children to put the
dinosaur counters on the floor behind them. The "dinosaur" marches around
clockwise, and everyone sings the following to the tune of "This Old Man."
Dinosaurs, they had fun.
They made footprints one by one.
With a boom-boom-boom and a stomp-stomp-stomp
They all marched around the swamp!
4. The dinosaur picks a dinosaur counter behind one of the children. The
chosen child marches around the circle behind the "dinosaur" to catch him
before he reaches the empty spot in the circle, like the game "Duck, Duck,
Goose."
5. If he doesn't catch the "dinosaur," the game continues. If he does, he
becomes the "dinosaur."
6. Continue as time permits until each child has a turn as the "dinosaur."
