Materials
9" x 12" white construction paper hole punch colored yarn pencils crayons black, yellow, purple, green, and blue construction paper paper cutter glue scissors star stickers cotton balls or strips tongue depressors small star stickers1. Put two pieces ofwhite construction paper together and fold them in half.2. Punch two holes on the left-hand side and threadbright yarn through the holes to make a book. Make one for each child.3. Show the children how to write "My Opposite Book" on the cover, one letterat a time.4. Cut purple, black, green, and blue paper 6" x 4 1/2 " on a paper cutter prior tothe project.5. Ask the children to glue the black paper to the first inside page of thebooklet. Encourage them to cut out moon shapes from yellow paper and gluethem to the black paper. They can add star stickers, too. Help them write"Night" on the page.6. On the opposite page (second page), help them write "Day." Encourage themto draw the sun and flowers on this page.7. Help them write "Big" on the next page, and "Little" on the opposite page.Encourage them to draw something big (big snowman, ball, building) andsomething little.8. Let each child choose a piece of purple, green, or blue paper and glue it onthe second to last page of the book. Help them write "Soft" on the page and"Hard" on the opposite page.9. Encourage them to glue cotton balls on the colored paper and a tonguedepressor on the opposite page.10. Add more pages, if desired, using any pairs of opposites you and thechildren can think of.
Instructions

2. Punch two holes on the left-hand side and thread bright yarn through the holes to make a book. Make one for each child.
3. Show the children how to write "My Opposite Book" on the cover, one letter at a time.
4. Cut purple, black, green, and blue paper 6" x 4 1/2 " on a paper cutter prior to the project.
5. Ask the children to glue the black paper to the first inside page of the booklet. Encourage them to cut out moon shapes from yellow paper and glue them to the black paper. They can add star stickers, too. Help them write "Night" on the page.
6. On the opposite page (second page), help them write "Day." Encourage them to draw the sun and flowers on this page.
