Instructions

1. This is a great book to make when doing an ocean theme, but it works well with many classroom themes.

2. Give each child six pieces of paper or card stock.

3. On the first piece of paper or card stock, the children write the numeral 1 and then draw one item related to the ocean. Help them write what the item is on the page.

4. On the next piece of paper, they write the numeral 2, draw two of an item related to the ocean, and write what the items are.

5. Continue doing this with the numerals 3, 4, and 5. Five is a good amount for children's attention spans, but the project can be spread out over multiple days.

6. When the children finish, have them create a cover page.

7. Help the children assemble the books and staple together.
