Instructions
l Prepare BINGO cards by dividing them into sections like a BINGO card with
five columns and four rows. Use a ruler to measure off spaces. Write C-O-LO-
R across the top.
l Pick 20 colors and color in the spaces under the letters. (Imagine the poster
board as a BINGO card to get the idea.) Another variation is to put pictures
that are mainly one color.
l Once the cards are completed, make a list of possible color-letter
combinations and cut them into slips.
What to Do
1. Explain that Color BINGO is like regular BINGO.
2. Draw slips of color/letter combinations from a box and call them out ("O'
green," "C' red").
3. Children place a marker over the square if they have the correct combination.
4. When a child has marked one color in each column, she shouts, "COLOR!"
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
l Can each child find the correct square to put her marker on when you call
the combinations in the activity?
