Instructions

1. Place six hoops in a large space.

2. Divide the children into six groups, and write numerals on six cards that add up to the total number of children.

3. Place one card inside each hoop.

4. Play music and have the children move from hoop to hoop, as though they are playing musical chairs.

5. When the music stops, have the children gather in the hoops in groups that match the numerals written on the cards inside. (If whole bodies don't fit together in the hoops, just have the children put their feet inside the hoops.)6. Change the numerals each time you stop the music, so the children always have to look at the numeral in the hoop and figure out if there is room for them inside.
