Instructions

Be prepared for transitions. Keep the following in mind:
* Always have materials ready.
* Aim to begin activities without long initial waiting periods.
* Plan realistically for the group's attention span.
* Begin whole-group activities with a few children, while enticing the rest of
the group with an engaging activity.
* Keep the routine the same. Children like the predictability of having a daily
group time routine that begins and ends the same way each day.
* Try new and creative transitions to see which they enjoy, and repeat those
often. Whenever possible, make them educational and always make them
fun.
