Instructions

1. Let the children help make a monthly newsletter to inform parents about
what's new or has been happening in the classroom over the last month.
2. Talk about newspapers. Ask the children if their parents read
newspapers. Explain that their newsletter will be like a newspaper from
the classroom.
3. Each month, encourage the children to think of topics and ideas to
include in the newsletter. Use the following format:
* What's New?
* New Songs
* New Skills
* New Books
4. Write the month at the top of the page. Invite the children to decorate
the page with seasonal images.
5. Make a copy for each child to bring home to parents.
