Materials

pictures of famous paintings

copy machine

glue

file cards

laminating machine (optional)

magnetic tape

Instructions

do * Father's Day is the third Sunday in June.
1. Reduce pictures of famous paintings to about 2" x 3".
2. Glue the small pictures to file cards and trim. Laminate.
3. Give each child a picture and a piece of magnetic tape. Ask them to put
the tape on the backs of their pictures.
4. Read stories about the painters of the works you've used.
5. Encourage the children to paint a picture using the same colors as the
paintings.
6. Have the children give these refrigerator magnets and paintings as
Father's Day gifts.

in and talk about art.
