different sizes of plastic bottles with lidsbucket (for storing the jars and lids)

Instructions

1. Collect and wash a variety of plastic bottles. Make sure they are different sizes.

2. Begin the activity with all the tops on the bottles. Invite a small group of children to remove the lids, then mix them up, and replace them on other bottles.

3. Encourage the children to discuss why they thought the lids would fit on the bottles on they chose.

4. Store the bottles and lids in a bucket.
