Instructions

1. Draw a large outline of a dinosaur on paper. Cut out two matching dinosaurs
for each child.
2. Staple them together, leaving an opening to stuff newspaper.
3. Encourage the children to paint their dinosaur (both sides), stuff with
newspaper, and staple closed.
4. Sing the following song to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" with the
children. Encourage them to "dance" around with their stuffed dinosaurs!
Many, Many Years Ago by Kaethe Lewandowski
Many, many years ago,
Lived the great big dinosaurs.
Some ate plants,
Some ate meat,
They traveled by air or on feet.
Then the earth turned very cold,
And they died, or so I'm told.
More to do Transitions: During transition times, call children by their names and add "-
osaurus" at the end, for example, "Amberosaurus."
